Ripple Board Scratch’n Massage Reviewed

I was skeptical at first thinking I was probably wasting money on a cat scratcher combo deal. I didn’t even understand how a few pieces of card board would work to draw the cats attention.

Bought this the first time at Petco and the cats instantly took it. It was baffling. It must be one of those humans cant understand cats things. They went through all three refills and ripped them to shreds until the cardboard was all over the carpet. Thats how much they loved it. For two cats, it lasted about 6 months which is not too bad an investment. When we ran out of refills they started scratching the edge of the door so we knew we have to get a new one. Could not find it at Petco anymore so we did a search and found it on Amazon.

I must also mention that they DO use this as a bed as well. In fact, they used to fight over who got to sleep or laze in it. I still can’t understand what the big deal is with this piece of cardboard, but my cats love it.

Omega Paw seems to understand what a cat wants.

This item is a peice of junk. It’s just a cardboard box, with congreated cardboard packed on top of it. I could make this myself by mearly buying a box and cutting out a bed. My cat does not scratch it at all. If I put catnip on it, he is still not all that interested. He made it into a bed for himself, but I didn’t want to give him ANOTHER bed, I want him to stop scratching my carpet. I wound up giving the product away, hopeing another cat would find it useful. Turns out that cat only uses it as a bed too. Don’t buy this.

My cats were confused by this at first and used it as a cat box. But luckily it has several layers of cardboard so I just removed the dirty one and it was fresh again. They only did that once and now the cats use it as a bed and not a scratcher. I’ve bought or made many a cat bed that was thoroughly rejected by the cats. They all embrace this one 100%. Cat scratcher – no, Cat Bed – Si!

First scratching thing I’ve tried that my cat took to almost immediately, great success. Seems moderately durable, more than enough for the price but will need replacing every so often. If I had to hazard a guess in absence of manufacturer data, I’d say Would be nice to see a different color box, but it does what I got it for and my door frame paint is safe.

Mamma Mia’s favorite hang out! – Cooper –
My cat, Mamma Mia, sits in this box all day staring out the window, cat napping, and best of all using it as a scratching pad. She gets up in the morning and the first place she goes is to the box to scratch and massage her chin. I have never seen a happier cat! Please do not stop making this box.
